Som vi berättat tidigare i dag släpper rocklegenden Bruce Springsteen sitt 20:e studioalbum ”Letter to You” 23 oktober.
Nu har Columbia/Sony Music officiellt bekräftat releasen och dessutom släppt den första videon från albumet:
I ett pressmeddelande säger Springsteen:
”I love the emotional nature of ”Letter To You”. And I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.”
”Letter to You” innehåller nio nyskrivna låtar, plus tre nyinspelningar av tidigare outgivna låtar från 1970-talet: Janey Needs a Shooter, If I Was the Priest og Song for Orphans.

Under de fem inspelningsdagarna samlade Springsteen ihop Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Charlie Giordano och Jake Clemons i sin hemmastudio på ranchen i New Jersey.
”Letter to You” är mixat av Bob Clearmountain och Bob Ludwig, producenter är Springsteen och Ron Aniello. Albumets omslagsbild togs av Danny Clinch 2018, i Central Park West, 72nd St. i New York, nära där Bruce Springsteen bodde under ”Springsteen on Broadway”-show.
Columbia Records beskriver albumet som ”A rock album fueled by the band’s heart-stopping, house-rocking signature sound”.
